Nothing out of the box that manages this. You could build a special event to do this for you, but that requires coding. What I like to do is build a SSIS component that looks for approvals or rejections and send an email. I find it a little easier than coding, however, it requires SSIS (SQL server integrated services). So, if you are a developer you may want to build an event or if you are strong in SQL, you could use SSIS.
