Evertime I try to download and install Windows 7 it fails. No matter the computer or the download. I have done this on every version available on MSDN?

The error that I get is the same, Missing or Corrupt Windows file. This error happens when the files are being extracted in the initial setup process.

My best guess is that either your download is getting corrupted or you have some corrupt sectors on the hard drive that you've downloaded Windows 7 on to. I'm thinking this because we've had these files posted for quite some time now, and we haven't had a consistent problem like this reported with them.

To address the corrupt download, if you haven't yet, download from MSDN using Internet Explorer. IE will launch the Microsoft File Transfer Manager to conduct the actual download for you. The FTM both allows you to resume your download where you left off in case your connection gets interrupted, and it does a hash check on the completed file to make sure the download was delivered successfully. If you've used Firefox or another browser to do your download, you've used the native download tool in those browsers, which wont do the download resuming when downloading from our site.

Once you have downloaded using IE and the MSFTM, we're sure you've received a golden copy of the ISO file on your computer. If the problem persists, a likely cause of the problem would be a corrupt sector on the drive you're downloading to, or something along those lines, which would corrupt the file during the Windows Installation. I'd recommend running scandisk and/or defrag on your hard drive to check for problems, or try saving your download to another location.
