I have a SP 2010 workflow which cannot send mails to multiple DLs only can send mail to the first DL. Actually I have created a column in a list of people and group type. Adding multiple DLs to that field for a perticular list item. Now trying to send a mail using that field to all the Dls present in the column but can send to only the first DL not other DLs. Any idea?

Security groups are visible to SharePoint and play more nicely with SharePoint, so id suggest using security groups, You could also try to make sure the distribution group settings have the "Require that all senders are authenticated" unchecked.

1. Go to Exchange Management Console -> Recipient Configuration -> Distribution group.

2. Right-click on the problem group and choose properties.

3. On the Mail Flow Settings tab, double click on Message Delivery Restrictions.
