We do require VPN for connectivity from On-Premises to Azure. Yes for failback, VPN is mandatory as new changes on azure servers should sync to on-premises during the re-protect. Once re-protect is done, then you can failback servers to Hyper-V.
连接不仅用于同步更改，还用于与本地服务器建立连接.
Connection is not only for syncing the changes but also to establish the connection with On-Premises servers.
