I too receive the same error, I have attempted this update a few different times over the last few months.

Honestly, I haven't noticed were it has affected performance and have not come across any issues were I have actually needed the update, or have been a problem performing tasks. Quit frankly, it seems to be more annoying that it sits in the hp check for update, than actually needing or requiring its use.
